1. Who I am

2. Access Data

I, Mr. Rafal Marek Dunajski, collect data on access to the website due to my legitimate interest (see Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and store this as “server log files” on the website server. The following data is logged:

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons to be able to clarify misuse. If data must be retained for evidence purposes, it is excluded from deletion until the incident is finally clarified.

3. What personal data I collect and why I do it

Media

When using media on this site, I do not embed them with an EXIF GPS location. As a user of our website, you should also avoid publishing such images here, as they can be downloaded and location information can be extracted.

All photos of people used here have been approved by them. The graphics used here were created by me or my contractors and are protected by copyright. Hosted images and media have been embedded here in compliance with data protection regulations; accessing these images transmits the same header data as using our actual website (see §12 TMG).

Cookies

To use this website, you must allow me to store some of your data in cookies. You can customize your selection of which of your data you wish to grant me access to upon first use. You can revoke this selection at any time.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this website may contain embedded content (e.g., videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services, and record your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to this website.

4. Analysis services

This site uses the WP Statistics analysis plugin. This provides me with information about where visitors come from and how many visits this website receives per day. The number of visits and the duration of visits to individual pages are also stored on the server via cookies. The data is anonymized and only shows interactions on our website. The owner can view this as statistics if necessary.

5. Sharing data with third parties

By default, no personal data is shared with third parties. However, the use of Google Analytics results in data being transferred to Google services.

6. Storage period of personal data

Personal data stored by cookies, plugins, comments, or messages will be manually deleted after six months unless otherwise agreed.

7. User rights to their data

Every user has the right and the opportunity to view all their personal data at any time. To do so, please send an email with the subject “Request personal data” to datenschutz@elisabet-baestlein.de. The requested data will be sent back to the user in the form of a PDF document within four weeks.

If an email you send to me is incorrectly delivered, it will be manually deleted. The contents of your messages and emails do not leave my server without your written permission. Highly sensitive data (e.g., payment information) should not be sent at first contact but only after consultation to ensure it reaches only the intended recipients.

8. Data transmission

For internal communication, I use the following tools and channels: Email, WhatsApp, landline, mobile phone, as well as any communication tools of my clients (e.g., Slack or MS Teams). For links to conferences, publications, and any online presence of my person, HTTPS transport encryption is used. All tools and my website have a valid SSL certificate.

Except for marked embeddings, no data is forwarded from our website.

10. Additional information

An SSL certificate allows a secure connection from our server to your browser. When linking the site with social media pages, e.g., via “share” buttons, a plugin called Shariff Wrapper is used. This embeds these buttons on our site only as static graphics containing a link to the respective provider’s website. Clicking on the graphic redirects you to the provider’s website, just like normal links. Only when you visit the provider’s website does it receive information about you, such as your IP address. If you don’t click the button graphics, no data exchange takes place. Information about the collection and use of your data in social networks can be found in the respective terms of use of the providers. I do not collaborate with third-party providers in the work on this website.

Automated profiling is not carried out through our website. However, connection with Google through Google Fonts and ReCaptcha can enable this under Google’s data protection guidelines. I do not receive any information about this.

For the enforcement of data protection violations, an internal reporting system is used. My activities are subject to self-regulation and external control by legal advice in the field of media law.
